I wish this would have been in effect for decades now. I’m not sure about travel from the USA to Mexico but I know if you are going to Canada from the US you need a passport.

Mark Levin

May 31, 2009 at 8:06 pm (news)

I just started listening to Mark Levin (http://marklevinshow.com). If you click on Audio you can choose a day and listen to that day’s radio program. Mark Levin is a conservative radio host, similar to Rush Limbaugh. But with Rush’s site you cannot listen to his past radio programs without paying a monthly fee for an account. Boo.

Google’s Oopsie!

May 15, 2009 at 6:51 am (news)

According to BBC News and Google, there was a slowdown and even outage for 14% of it’s consumers the other day. BBC News Link.

I know the demand is high for services such as google web search and it’s ‘apps’ but ya can’t expect 100% uptime for any online service. Servers always have a tendency to crash or become unavailable especially when they are under heavy use like google was at the time of the ‘interruption’. An old saying fits here. “Ya can’t please all the people all the time.”

Sexting!

May 15, 2009 at 5:38 am (news)

Kids sending nude photos to each other via cell phone is on the rise. But wasn’t that to be expected as more and more kids are getting cell phones for their birthdays and christmas’? Duh. Kids are going to do what kids are going to do but to label them as sex offenders even if both parties are consenting to the nudeish photos is outrageous. I agree I wouldn’t want my kid to send nude photos to each other but there is a better way to battle that than labeling them. Most cell phone companies sell cell phones that are bottom of the line, meaning they can’t take pictures (or receive them). I happen to have one of those phones. And guess what? It works great as a cell phone should. It can send and receive voice calls. And an occasional text message. Parents need to be thinking about that when they buy their kids $400 cell phones. Mine was $16.00.

Perez Hilton?

May 13, 2009 at 8:16 pm (celebs)

I don’t think I’ll ever understand the need to know everything about everything when it comes to celebrities. I just visited perezhilton.com and saw nothing that interested me. Why is he so famous for following celebs around and blogging about them? I don’t get it. I’d like to hear some comments on this matter. Thanks!!
